Happy New Golfing Year
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED THE B&H OVER THE PAST YEARS
AND HOPEFULLY YOU WILLBE ABLE TO JOIN US FOR ONE OR MORE TO THE 2023 B&H COMPETITIONS.
We have two new venues for 2023, Davenport Golf Club will be hosting the G S Lancashire Cup and the newly redesigned Prestwich Golf Club will the venue for the Houldsworth Cup. The Balfour Cup will once again be played at Stand Golf Club and the Seniors Balfour will return to Worsley Golf Club for the first time in 10 years.
In 2022 we celebrated the 125th Year of the foundation of the Balfour and Houldsworth Golf Challenge Cups. We were delighed to welcome the great-grandson of Sir William Houldsworth to present the Houldworth Cup to the winners at Houldsworth Golf club. Lord Balfour was not able to join us for the Balfour Cup presentation, but has indicated that he may be able to join us and present the Balfour Cup at Stand in June this year.
On the B&H website we have a page entitled "125th Anniversary Competitions" which provides the reports and results of all the 2022 competitions and a selection of photographs, which show the winners and others who joined us on the competition days.
We still have spaces available for the 2023 Competitions, but the Seniors Balfour at Worsley is nearing capacity. Please use the links above to make your entries. Payments will go through the B&H PayPal account, but you can use any Debit or Credit Card.
